Elegant Luxury Wedding at Hampton Manor

When Rachel and Dan got in touch to tell me they were planning a wedding at Hampton Manor and were considering me to photograph their day, I couldn’t say yes any faster! It’s one of my favourite Birmingham wedding venues, striking the perfect balance between historic charm and modern elegance. And the best part—my home is just 15 minutes away! There’s a real sense of intimacy here, making it ideal for couples who want their day to feel both stylish and personal.

We all know how September weather can be. The day felt a little chilly and moody, but that didn’t matter one bit to Rachel and Dan. Their love and energy completely lifted everything around them. Being their Hampton Manor wedding photographer was an absolute joy—let me take you through their special day.

Wedding Preparations

They chose Hampton Manor for their special day – a gorgeous estate with a 45-acre garden and impeccable interiors. I’ve had the pleasure of being a Hampton Manor wedding photographer a couple of times, so I know this venue by heart, yet it never fails to impress me. Apart from the impressive styling, the Michelin-starred food here is unlike anything you’ve ever tasted before!

Rachel and Dan’s luxury wedding was off to a joyful start. The morning began with Rachel getting ready, with her mum helping her into her stunning dress while her bridesmaids sipped cocktails and enjoyed the fun morning together. Seeing her with her dad, and bridesmaids in the reveal was such an emotional moment. Meanwhile, Dan arrived in style with their son and his grandparents, clearly excited for the day ahead. We also grabbed a few fun snaps of the groomsmen before it was time for the ceremony.

Romantic Ceremony at The Birches

The ceremony took place at The Birches, a rustic barn with such a welcoming atmosphere. It was intimate and romantic—the perfect start to the day.

Seeing Rachel walk down the aisle was so emotional, and their vows were absolutely beautiful. They were surrounded by their nearest and dearest, and you could feel everyone’s excitement and love in the room. There were smiles, a few happy tears, and so many little moments that made it feel really personal and heartfelt.

Hamton Manor Drinks Reception

At the end of the confetti line, Rachel and Dan were greeted with cheers and big smiles from their guests, and their little boy waiting for them, such an adorable moment. Everyone enjoyed drinks, delicious canapés, and the beautiful atmosphere as conversations flowed and smiles filled the air. I love when there is live music during the drinks reception, and Rachel and Dan truly pulled out all the stops for their guests, hiring a live band to keep the atmosphere going. With spirits high, we made the most of this relaxed time capturing family portraits, fun moments with the groomsmen, and the bridal party all together, such a lovely and feel good part of the day.

Wedding Breakfast and Speeches

The room looked absolutely beautiful, styled with an elegance that suited Rachel and Dan perfectly. As the guests sat down, they were greeted with a personal note from the couple, such a thoughtful touch that immediately made everyone feel special. After an incredible meal, the speeches followed, full of happy memories, emotion, and truly beautiful moments. I love this part of the day when the couple relaxes and goes around the tables, chatting and laughing with everyone, soaking up all the love and joy.

First Dance and Party Time

Rachel and Dan were welcomed into their evening celebration with the most incredible applause from their guests. Before the party began, Rachel, the best man, and Dan’s brother shared such heartfelt speeches, setting the tone beautifully for the night. The couple then kicked things off with an amazing first dance, followed by Eddie and The Murphys Band bringing the energy to the dance floor. Everyone had the best time celebrating together. I couldn’t feel more grateful to do what I love.
