I couldn’t wait to photograph Emily and Jacke’s gorgeous wedding day, and I just knew it would be something special. These two are such a fantastic couple, and after capturing their engagement session at the Cotswolds Lavender Fields, wandering through the blooms with their sweet pup Archie, I knew their wedding would be just as full of fun and beauty. With soft lavender tones woven throughout the day, everything felt like a dreamy Mediterranean summer.

Caswell House is a breathtaking Cotswolds wedding venue full of history, charm, and romance in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside. This exclusive-use venue offers stunning stone barns, gorgeous walled gardens, and a picturesque courtyard—perfect for those golden summer moments. The venue’s beautifully restored barns, with their exposed beams and soft lighting, create an intimate yet elegant atmosphere. And with the sun shining down, the whole day felt effortlessly beautiful and relaxed. I immediately fell in love with Caswell House. Its timeless charm and elegant setting made it a dream to photograph and all this surrounded by incredible people. The day was made even more special by the warmth of their wonderful guests and the fantastic team who brought everything to life so seamlessly.

Wedding Preparations

The day began with a gorgeous sunny morning at Caswell House, setting the perfect tone for Emily and Jacke’s wedding. I couldn’t wait to see Emily and her bridesmaids getting ready in The Dressing Room, a bright and lively space filled with joy, excitement, and the final touches from the talented makeup and hair stylists. I photographed all the beautiful details—from a gorgeous bouquet in soft purple tones to her romantic bridal accessories. Everything felt so timelessly elegant.

Meanwhile, Jacke and his groomsmen had the best time getting ready in the Main House. There was no shortage of fun and laughs as they helped each other with their outfits. Dressed in beige suits with light purple ties, the boys looked incredibly sharp and stylish, perfectly complementing the romantic tones of the day. Emily and Jacke, a true Christian Louboutin shoe lovers, completed their look with a pair that added the perfect touch of style. We made time for some fun group shots, capturing the energy and camaraderie of the morning. With everything in place and buttonholes pinned, the energy was rising. Before the ceremony, Emily and Jacke swapped gifts, a sweet moment that made the day even more special.

Wedding Ceremony at Caswell House

The outdoor ceremony at Caswell House was simply stunning. With Ivory Hill Floral creating a romantic setting with soft purples that perfectly complemented the sunny day and the beautiful Cotswolds-style rustic stone building with the archway, everything felt like a dream. One of my favourite moments to photograph is when a dad sees his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time. It’s always so emotional, and this was no exception. Emily and her bridesmaids looked absolutely stunning in their gorgeous dresses. Seeing Emily walk down the aisle with her dad was incredibly moving, and I definitely wasn’t the only one getting teary-eyed. After exchanging heartfelt vows and rings and sharing a kiss, they were met with cheers and applause, sealing the moment as husband and wife. Later, guests gathered in two lines and tossed white rose petal confetti.

Caswell House Drinks Reception

At the end of the confetti line, Emily and Jacke were greeted by a surprise—two fluffy alpacas! Their reaction was priceless, and everyone enjoyed taking photos with these cute little guests. Family and friends enjoyed drinks, delicious canapés, and the beautiful weather while the incredibly talented guitarist, Luke, set the perfect atmosphere. With everyone in high spirits, we had a great time capturing family portraits, fun groomsmen shots, and the bridal party together, making the most of the relaxed and joyful vibe.

Wedding Breakfast and Speeches

The barns looked absolutely incredible—stylish and elegant, with the rustic background adding so much character. The soft purple tones complemented the setting perfectly. After cutting the delicious cake, Emily and Jacke entered the room to a massive round of applause, with napkins flying in the air in celebration. The speeches were full of laughter and heartfelt moments, making everyone feel the love. After the meal, guests enjoyed the beautiful grounds, played board games, and soaked up the perfect weather.

Wedding Portraits

The summer evening light was absolutely perfect for a stroll with Emily and Jacke, capturing some relaxed portraits before the party kicked off. The warmth of the afternoon sun made it the ideal time for them to enjoy quiet moments together. I loved that the lavender was in full bloom, taking us right back to their engagement shoot at the lavender fields. It was the ideal time for Emily and Jacke to unwind and soak in the moment before the celebration picked up.

First Dance and Party Time

Emily and Jacke looked amazing together during their first dance, completely lost in the moment. The dance floor quickly filled up as Opulence Band kept the energy high. What a day! I couldn’t be more grateful to have the best job ever!

If you are looking for a photographer for your big day I can whole heartedly recommend Eva. The photos are beyond our wildest dreams. We chose to do an engagement shoot as well with our Dog and Eva was so great on the day, she is the sweetest calmest presence. Then when we got the engagement photos back, just wow! They were incredible, so natural and had so much emotion coming through. With all the right angles. From then on we knew we had made the right choice.

On the wedding day Eva didn’t stop, she worked so hard, and the photos speak for themselves. They are simply beautiful. She captured the story of the day so perfectly, not of me and my husband but of our guests the shots are stunning. Everyone adores them! The turn around was super speedy. She is also such a wonderful calming presence to have with you on your big day.
