Back in 2021, I met with Elina and Ben, a lovely couple who wanted to celebrate their engagement in Bristol. Even though I was meeting these two for the first time, it felt like I had known them for ages! Their session was so much fun and I was able to capture some truly fabulous moments.

Fast-forward three years later, I was overjoyed when they asked me to photograph their wedding!

Initially, Elina and Ben intended to host a small, private half-day celebration in September. However, Elina chose to extend her Cotswolds wedding photography to ensure all of their special moments were captured.

The outcome?

A perfectly ideal wedding with just the right number of guests!

Wedding Preparations

The morning preparations were a joy to photograph. Being with Elina on the day of her elegant and intimate wedding felt like being with a close friend. She was joined by her mother, who arrived from Latvia, while her sister flew in from Iceland. It was an emotional and precious time filled with joyous tears, thrills, and heartfelt moments.

Before the ceremony, I also had the chance to capture the groom’s perspective of the Cotswolds wedding photography. Watching Ben greet his guests and share some fun moments with his groomsmen made for some brilliant candid shots. The atmosphere was one of genuine excitement and expectation.

Wedding Ceremony at Ellenborough Park

A wedding at Ellenborough Park, Gloucestershire, proved to be just right! It was the most stylish venue for their outdoor ceremony. The stone gazebo, tucked away among the rolling Cotswolds hills, set the stage for an incredibly romantic and emotional exchange of vows. Her mother and sister could not contain their tears as the bride descended the grand staircase, looking stunning in her gown. It was such a moving moment.

The ceremony itself was simply breathtaking. It was full of heartfelt words, love, and laughter. And then came the confetti walk, one of my favourite parts. The newlyweds were beaming with happiness as guests showered them with petals.

Ellenborough Park Drinks Reception

After the family and friends’ group photos, we made our way from the stone gazebo to a lively outdoor drinks reception. Guests enjoyed refreshing drinks and delicious canapés while Joe Baxter’s music added the perfect touch to the atmosphere. With laughter filling the air and everyone in great spirits, it was a wonderful time to capture candid moments of joy, conversation, and celebration.

Wedding Portraits

Whisked the bride and groom, Elina and Ben, away for a little stroll around the stunning Ellenborough Park grounds after the ceremony. We left the guests to enjoy their drinks and canapés. These moments are my favourite part of this Cotswolds wedding photography—just the two of them, taking in the day’s excitement and sharing a laugh. These two were so much fun! We had tons of fun exploring the lovely gardens and capturing some truly romantic Ellenborough Park wedding portraits.

Wedding Breakfast and Speeches

The reception area was exquisitely decorated with soft florals and sophisticated touches that perfectly complemented the venue’s charm. The guests gathered for the wedding breakfast, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. And the speeches…nothing short of incredible! They were funny, heartfelt, and filled with love. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room (including mine!).

First Dance and Party Time

The energy grew as the day unfolded. The celebrations carried on and the dance floor came alive. The excitement, love, and laughter that filled the room were genuinely infectious. It was the ideal way to end such a wonderful day.

Elina + Ben

We had our engagement photos done by Eva 3 years ago and as soon we booked our wedding we did not hesitate to get in touch with Eva again. I just knew that she would capture our special day just like we wanted.

We had a our ‘speak peek’ THE NEXT DAY. I was so excited and was able to share beautiful photos straight away with those who couldn’t be there on our day.

What I love about Eva the most is her attitude towards her job. You can tell that she cares so much. She helped my guests with their buttonholes, she even helped me to get into my dress and saved me from getting anxiety attack! It was just wonderful to have her as part of our wedding day and I couldn’t recommend Eva enough.

It is so obvious that she absolutely loves what she does and her work speaks for itself.

All our guests loved her and commented on how lovely and friendly she was.

Eva was very professional and so easy to deal with. I requested last minute timing changes and Eva was able to accommodate this without hesitation. I really appreciate this as it has been quite a stressful time planning our wedding.
