Photographing India and Ollie’s summer wedding at the picturesque Stratton Court Barn was an absolute delight. Having previously had the pleasure of photographing their pre-wedding shoot alongside the adorable dog Coco, I knew this couple would be a dream to work with. As a Stratton Court Barn wedding photographer, I felt privileged to document their love story amidst the beautiful backdrop of this idyllic exclusive venue. Their infectious laughter filled the air from dawn to dusk, creating a truly magical atmosphere. Nestled in stunning private land and formal gardens in the charming North Oxfordshire countryside, near Bicester and Oxford, Stratton Court Barn provided the perfect setting for their special day. With its lush gardens, tranquil grounds, and picturesque woodlands, it offered endless opportunities for beautiful photos.

Wedding Preparations

Heading to Stratton Court Barn filled me with excitement, eager to capture every moment of India and Ollie’s special day. Watching India, the radiant bride, prepare for her wedding was very special, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. From the delicate details of flowers and jewellery to the emotional reveal with her dad, every moment was filled with beauty and emotion. Meeting Ollie, the groom, added another layer of joy as I captured candid moments with him and his best man. As guests arrived, their genuine happiness and excitement added to the atmosphere. I always feel very grateful for these intimate, happy moments.

Wedding Ceremony

The barn wedding ceremony at Stratton Court Barn created an intimate ambience that surrounded everyone present. Excitement buzzed among parents and guests, particularly Ollie, the groom, as they eagerly looked forward to the ceremony. India was simply breathtaking as she walked down the aisle, accompanied by her proud father. As they exchanged rings and heartfelt vows, surrounded by the rustic charm of the barn, it was clear that their love was pure and genuine. With a sweet kiss, they sealed their vow, and the happiness beaming from the couple was simply infectious.

Stratton Court BarnWedding Photography Portraits

Exploring the beautiful grounds of Stratton Court Barn with the newlyweds was a bast. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, their laughter filled the air, and their love was unmistakable. They looked simply perfect and elegant, unable to take their eyes off each other. We enjoyed a relaxed stroll through the charming gardens, capturing portraits along the way. Later, we hopped into a Fiat 500 for a joyride, perfect for some cute photos. As the couple headed back to Stratton Court Barn, they were met with loud, joyful cheers from the wedding guests.

Wedding Breakfast and Speeches

The much-anticipated speeches kicked off as everyone cosied up in the beautifully decorated barn. Amidst the delicious meal, heartfelt words filled the air, bringing tears and laughter, and making the atmosphere warm and genuine. The relaxed vibe added an extra layer of charm to the barn wedding, making it one big, happy gathering of friends and family.

Cake Cutting, First Dance, and Party

After the bride and groom cut the cake, featuring their adorable dog, the guests burst into cheers and joined them on the dance floor aftrer their first dance. Everyone had a blast, dancing along to the music. Later, I took the couple for one last stroll in the sunsetting light, capturing their happy moments amidst the golden glow. I particularly enjoyed how, since it was a summer wedding, everyone also relished the outdoors and the beautiful weather.
