It’s a lovely venue located in the peaceful Oxfordshire countryside, not far from the lively towns of Bicester and Buckingham. The venue has been beautifully restored, keeping its rustic charm intact, and it’s perfect for modern-day weddings, whether you want an intimate ceremony or a big, fancy one with all your family and friends. Stratton Court Barn is an ideal place to make your wedding dreams come true.

Wedding Preparations

The bride and the groom were the most lovely couple I had the pleasure to work with. When I arrived, the morning preparations were in full swing, and I immediately started documenting the joyful atmosphere. The bride’s closest family and friends surrounded her as she revealed herself in her stunning wedding dress to her dad. It was an emotional moment that captured the love and joy of the occasion. Meanwhile, the groom and his groomsmen were having fun and enjoying their drinks. As the guests started to arrive, you could feel the excitement in the air for the wonderful day ahead.

Wedding Ceremony

The main barn was the perfect setting for the lovely wedding ceremony. As the couple exchanged their vows and rings, there were a few emotional moments with some happy tears. Once the ceremony was over, there was a big cheer from all the guests, and the newlyweds were showered with colorful confetti as they exited the barn to head to the drinks reception in the yard.

Wedding Portraits

When it comes to finding the perfect background for photos at Stratton Court Barn, the options are endless. Everywhere you look is simply stunning, from the Nordic-inspired building with its clock tower in the courtyard, to the tree-lined driveway surrounded by picturesque countryside, and the formal rose gardens. Even the camera-shy bride and groom were amazing to work with, as they were able to relax, have fun, and allow me to capture beautiful wedding portraits against these breathtaking backdrops.

Wedding Breakfast and Speeches

The main barn, filled with natural light and adorned with stunning dried flower decorations, provided a beautiful setting for the wedding breakfast. The guests enjoyed a delicious meal and the atmosphere was filled with joy and love as emotional and heartwarming speeches captivated everyone with their heartfelt words.

First Dance and Party

As the first dance began outside, I felt thrilled by the soft, settling sun that created the perfect light to capture the moment. The bride and groom shared their first dance surrounded by cheering guests. The father-daughter dance was also emotional and heartwarming. The party began right after the dances, with guests enjoying delicious cocktails and plenty of laughter from the newly arrived evening guests. Guests filled the indoor dance floor, having a great time as the party continued late into the night. Overall, it was a truly amazing day, and it was my pleasure to photograph this stunning summer wedding at Stratton Court Barn.
