Warwickshire Wedding: Bourton Hall Wedding Photography

Warwickshire Wedding Photography | Katie and PJ

This was my third time back at the stunning Bourton Hall, capturing moments from yet another beautiful wedding. The venue radiated a warm glow and surrounded by amazing people from all corners of the globe, it became even more special. Nestled in beautiful Shakespeare country, Bourton Hall boasts an exclusive Italianate-style mansion and a former Catholic chapel, surrounded by gardens, woodland, and parkland. Under the sunny autumn skies, the Warwickshire countryside around Bourton Hall looked absolutely breathtaking, giving us plenty of stunning photo opportunities.

Hey there! I’m Eva, a happy wedding photographer from Solihull, Birmingham. I absolutely love capturing those real, natural moments at weddings across the West Midlands, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Warwickshire, Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, and Oxfordshire. My joy is to give you a special and personalized wedding experience by creating timeless photos that bring back all the emotions from your big day. I truly believe in the magic of photography to capture the beauty and emotions of your wedding day. Let’s create some wonderful memories together!

Wedding Preparations

Starting the day’s celebrations was a joy! When I got to the venue, I was warmly welcomed into the cozy Gatekeeper’s Cottage. It was a sweet spot where Katie had her makeup done with her bridesmaids. Then, we moved to The Lady Bourton Honeymoon Suite, adding the final touches to Katie’s hair and carefully putting on her beautiful dress. Taking pictures of all the beautiful details in the naturally filled spacious room is a photographer’s dream, especially when Katie showed her dress to her bridesmaids and mom – everyone was so happy! After that, we took a few close-up pictures of the stunning bride and her mom. As we got ready to go to the church, there was another emotional moment. Katie descended a beautiful staircase, her dad waiting at the bottom, looking so proud. It was a sweet and emotional part of the morning’s wedding preparations. Finally, all the bridesmaids and the bride jumped into the super cool Cadillac, and off they went to the church!

Wedding Ceremony

Arriving at the church, I quickly snapped a couple of portraits of PJ, the groom, alongside his best man. Then, I caught a heartwarming moment of Katie’s dad helping her out of the Cadillac, followed by a lovely walk with her bridesmaids towards the church. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement, and as the organ played the Interstellar soundtrack, watching Katie walk down the aisle with her dad gave me goosebumps. The ceremony was truly beautiful. Even though the vicar forgot to announce the first kiss at first, I captured the intimate moment when they became husband and wife before signing the papers. The official announcement came a bit later, adding a touch of spontaneity to the joyous occasion.

Bourton Hall Wedding Photography Portraits

After the ceremony, we went to PJ’s family’s beautiful home to take some portraits. It’s a special place for the bride and groom, full of happy memories. We also picked Bourton Hall’s stunning grounds for the other half of the portraits, right after snapping some family photos. It was a lot of fun, and luckily, the sun decided to join us!

Wedding Breakfast and Speeches

I got the bride and groom all set for a few pictures in the beautifully styled Banqueting Hall before the wedding breakfast. Soon, the room filled up with happy wedding guests ready to savor a tasty meal and then came the heartwarming speeches.

First Dance and Party

After the newlyweds cut the cake, everyone lined up on the staircase for an awesome confetti throw. While Katie and PJ had their first dance, the room was filled with confetti, creating amazing photos. Everyone joined the dancefloor afterward. Then, all the guests geared up for an amazing Ceilidh, which is perfect for bringing everyone together at a wedding. It kept the energy on the dancefloor, making for some fantastic photos, especially with kilts in the mix.
